CenterMark Development LLC has commenced the rehabilitation of a 12,000 square foot building located at 12900 Miles Avenue in the Union Miles neighborhood of Cleveland.  The building, which was originally home to a Kroger grocery store in the 1960s, will be occupied by Dollar Tree Stores, Inc.  CenterMark purchased the building in December.

“I am pleased to have secured a long-term commitment from a national retailer of this caliber for the redevelopment,” said Mark Jablonski, CenterMark President. “Dollar Tree sought to locate within this resurgant commercial corridor.  Our location on this busy thoroughfare between the new Miles Elementary school and the new Miles Pointe Shopping Center was ideal,” he added.

Mr. Jablonski said that CenterMark expects to complete the rehabilitation and turnover the building to the tenant in June 2014 so that the tenant may tailor their interior improvements.  Grand opening is expected during the third quarter of 2014.

Beegan Architectural Design is providing design services.  HCI, Inc. is performing general contracting services.  Lorain National Bank provided the construction financing.
