CenterMark Development’s president, Mark Jablonski, began his real estate career in banking. 20 years after making the loan to construct a free-standing Rite Aid drugstore in Maple Heights, Ohio, Mark teamed with his former bank client to redevelop the building for Family Dollar. The conversion was especially challenging since the building had been converted to a daycare facility with extensive interior and exterior modifications. Moreover, CenterMark faced changing weather conditions and only a 90-day window to complete the project. Thanks to its skill set, relationships, and development team, CenterMark was able to take the project from design and permitting to tenant turnover in the allotted time — all while their development partner rested comfortably in sunny Florida!
